Andrew Harvey, AAPQ, CSLA, OPA, CPSI, is a Registered Playground Practitioner and Certified Playground Inspector with over 10 years of experience in designing and enhancing children's play spaces. His expertise spans playground safety and accessibility, design, school grounds greening, and participatory design. Andrew serves as the principal instructor for the Ontario Parks Association Playground Practitioner Program, frequently collaborates on school grounds greening initiatives, and conducts annual research visits to early childhood education centers in Japan. Holding a graduate degree in landscape architecture, he is a full member of the Association des architectes paysagistes du Québec and an affiliate member of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects.
Peter Kells, OPA, CPSI, is a Registered Playground Practitioner and Certified Playground Inspector with over 35 years of experience in the playground industry. With a background in industrial design, Peter served as the principal designer for several Canadian play equipment manufacturers for 16 years. He has extensive experience contributing to technical committees in Canada and the U.S. focused on the development of playground standards. For over 20 years, Peter was the principal instructor for the Ontario Parks Association Playground Practitioner Program. A former member of IPA Canada (International Association for the Child's Right to Play), Peter has been recognized with the OALA 2021 Research and Innovation Award and the Ontario Parks Association 2021 Protecting Tomorrow Today Lifetime Achievement Award.
