Andrew Harvey, AAPQ, CSLA, OPA, CPSI is a Registered Playground Practitioner and Certified Playground Inspector with over 10 years experience with children's play spaces. His specialities include playground safety and accessibility, playground design, school grounds greening and participatory design. Andrew is the principal instructor for the Ontario Parks Association Playground Practitioner Program, regularly collaborates on school grounds greening projects and annually conducts research visits at early childhood education centres in Japan. He has a graduate degree in landscape architecture and is a full member of the Association des architectes paysagistes du Québec as well as an affiliate member of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects.
Peter Kells, OPA, CPSI is a Registered Playground Practitioner and Certified Playground Inspector with over 35 years experience in the playground industry. He studied industrial design and worked as principal designer for 16 years for several Canadian play equipment manufacturers. Peter has years of experience on technical committees in Canada and the U.S. concerned with the development of playground standards, and for 20 years served as the principal instructor for the Ontario Parks Association Playground Practitioner Program. He is an active member of IPA Canada (International Association for the Child's Right to Play). Peter received the OALA 2021 Research and Innovation Award as well as the Ontario Parks Association 2021 Protecting Tomorrow Today Lifetime Achievement Award.
